Calling all Referees

The Almonte Soccer Club is looking for players, coaches, parents or those who love the game of soccer to become Game Officials aka The Referee.

You must be 14 as of 31 March 2011 to take the Entry Level Course.

The Club is particularly interested in Adults (16+) who are interested in becoming Referees.

The course costs $50 per person but the club will pay for all Club Refs who complete at least 10 (paid) games during the summer.

The course requires 15 participants as a minimum and has 25 as the maximum and is 2 days long.

The tentative date is Saturday and Sunday, 2-3 April, 2011.

Mini-field referees:


The Club is also looking for players or those who love the game of soccer to become Game Officials aka The Referee for Mini-Field games.

You must be 12 or 13 as of 31 March 2011 to take the Mini Field Referee Course.

The course costs $25 per person but the club will pay for all those who complete at least 5 games (paid) during the summer.

The course is good for 1 year and would have to be taken again next year for those who are 12.  All 13 year olds would then be eligible to take the Entry Level Course to become Youth Referees.

The course requires 15 participants as a minimum and has 25 as the maximum and is 1 day long.

Tentative date is Saturday, 26 March, 2011.
